Born in Auckland to parents from Hong Kong, Michael studied dentistry at the University of Otago. A chance encounter at an aesthetics conference led him to Melbourne, then Canberra, and eventually Sydney — where he found his home.
After a decade as partner at a North Sydney practice, he founded Smile by Design to create the patient experience he always envisioned. Today he leads two purpose-built clinics and mentors the next generation as a Nobel Biocare educator.
